Disney Gift Cards are an excellent way to budget and manage vacation spending, and I’m happy to share some practically perfect news. You can now add and store Disney Gift Cards in the Disneyland Mobile App for purchases, including Mobile Order. Talk about a magical game changer for Mobile Order!
To add them to your Disneyland account, just follow these simple steps! Open the Disneyland app, tap the menu button (☰), then scroll to the Account section and select MyDisney Wallet. From there, follow the prompts to enter your 16-digit card number, and you're all set!
I’m happy to share that Disney Gift Cards are accepted at almost all
locations throughout the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels, including Character Dining locations and hotel lounges. A good rule of thumb is that if it’s a Disney-owned location, chances are you can use a Disney Gift Card. The main exception is within the Downtown Disney District, where several dining and shopping locations are independently owned and operated. Because of that, Disney Gift Cards are not always accepted. Your best bet is to ask when you arrive, but to stay on the safe side, I would plan on most Downtown Disney dining locations not accepting Disney Gift Cards.
Tiffany, I’m from Colorado too, and I always love making the trek west for a magical Disneyland day! Did you know you can combine Disney Gift Cards with balances up to a combined maximum of $1,000 onto a single card? I love giving my kids their own Disney Gift Cards so they can enjoy a little shopping independence, but if you have multiple cards you'd like to combine, it's as easy as saying Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
To combine gift cards, just head over to the
Disney Gift Card website. You'll log in using the same information you use for your Disneyland account. Once you're in, click "My Cards" and then "Add a Card." You can add up to six cards and transfer balances between them with just a few clicks.
You'll need the 16-digit card number and security code from each card. Each transfer must be for the card's full balance, so no partial transfers are allowed. It's super easy! Just be sure to hang on to the original cards, just in case, and make note of the card number holding your combined balance. I usually grab a Sharpie and jot a note right on the card. It helps keep everything from disappearing like the Cheshire Cat!
