Oh, Michelle, you are going to have an exquisite time at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort!
There are many things you can do to make your stay special. I'm glad to hear that you have already booked a character dining experience at 1900 Park Fare. Don't forget to take your camera to this special meal.
I bet your little girl would love to attend
My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party with you. At this special event, held Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:30 am to noon at the Grand Floridian, your daughter will meet Princess Aurora and enjoy lovely snacks and storytelling. She is highly encouraged to attend dressed as her favorite princess. Call (407) WDW-DINE to book this experience for you and your daughter.
Your son, on the other hand, may enjoy life as a pirate for a few hours. He and other landlubbers between the ages of four and twelve will head out on an
expedition to find buried treasure (and lunch) under the supervision of well-trained cast members. Call (407) WDW-DINE to book this adventure for your son if you think it is something he might enjoy.
As a family, I highly recommend you spend at least one evening watching Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at the Grand Floridian. During the day you might consider renting a "watermouse" to explore the Seven Seas Lagoon. One child can ride with each adult. It's an amazing adventure.
I also suggest indulging in a cinnamon roll from Gasparilla Grill & Games or purchasing fragrant bath salts from Basin to enjoy in the privacy of your room.
There's so much to do at the Grand Floridian! I'm sure you'll have a splendid time.
Jill
