Family staying at Fort Wilderness in Oct. Booked 4 premium camp sites for our 4 RV's. My brother has 3 room tent and wants tent camp beside us on our site - will there be room? Wasn't sure how big a tent you could have. thanks so much!

    Casey:

Most premium campsites not only offer a larger pad but also a larger site in general.  But, honestly, every site is different. There's nothing technically wrong with setting up the tent, as Disney's maximums are 10 people per site. I'm not aware of any prohibitions on tents.

My suggestion is to make a note on your reservation that you'd like a level site that will allow for a tent in addition to the RV. Also, I'd get a Grand Gathering number and register all of the sites to the GG number so you can make a request to put them in the same loop. From there, I would bank on the fact that at least one of the sites out of the four should have enough space for the tent.

To my recollection, the only loops that wouldn't be suitable for the tent would be the tight loops of 100, 200, and 1400's inner loop or the unlevel sites in 1900. Only 1400 is a premium.

    I'd request Loop 700, 800, 900, 1000, or 1100 for larger, level sites.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
