My family will be staying at Fort Wilderness campground in a few weeks. We have family in Florida who would like to visit for the day. Are visitors allowed at the campground? Would they be able to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom with us?

    Hey, howdy, hey, Kim!

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited to see that you’ll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth next month! You’re going to really enjoy your time at Fort Wilderness — this is a fabulous time of the year to camp!

You’ll be happy to know that you are more than welcome to have visitors at your campsite, Kim! Your visitors are also welcome to take the boat to Magic Kingdom with you! I hope you have so much fun with your family!

Just a quick note: Please remember that the camp and RV sites at Fort Wilderness Resort allow for 1 complimentary parking spot, and parking along the roadways is not permitted. If your family is planning to drive, they will need to park at the Outpost parking area that is located close to the entrance to Fort Wilderness. They can then hop on a bus to the stop that is closest to your campsite. (If you happen to have a golf cart, you could potentially pick up your family members from the parking area too.) Your family will need to provide the site number and the last name associated with the reservation to the security Cast Member in order to enter the Resort as well — so make sure they have that information available.

If you have additional questions, Kim, we would love to hear from you again soon!

    Happy trails,
    Allyn

Meet the Panelist: Allyn, Florida

Hello! I am Allyn, your personal planDisney companion! I’ve enjoyed most of my life in the heart of Wyoming but am currently living my fairy tale as a wife, mom, yoga instructor, and fine jewelry designer in central Florida! When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
