Hi Brett,
Welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort stay is just around the corner, and you've come to the right place with your question.
I can certainly understand the desire to avoid renting a golf cart during your upcoming 7-day stay. Personally, I loathe driving anything with wheels while I'm on vacation so I would avoid it, too! Good news, Brett: you absolutely can
rent bikes during your stay in
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Helmets, training wheels and child seats are available or complimentary with bike rentals, so you won't need to bring anything with you to enjoy this option.
Keep in mind that these are daily rentals. You would need to return them each day and rent them again the next day if you'd like to have access to a bike on a daily basis. Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis so be sure to arrive early each day to snag your rental(s).
During your stay in the Cabins, I really hope you'll have time to enjoy the amenities and activities around the resort. The
Electrical Water Pageant is a spectacular floating electrical parade that sails across Seven Seas Lagoon nightly - you won't want to miss it. Some nights you'll be able to sing along with Chip 'n' Dale at their Campfire Sing-A-Long which is a popular resort favorite for guests of all ages. You can also head over to
Tri-Circle-D Ranch to meet the resort’s majestic hooved friends and enjoy
pony rides and
wagon rides. Before your arrival, be sure to check out all of the
recreational activities and
resort amenities that will be available to you at Fort Wilderness Resort during your stay.
I hope this information is helpful, Brett. Come on back if you have any additional planning questions. We'll see ya real soon!
