    My family will be staying at Disney's Vero Beach resort for the first time at the end of August. Reading conflicting reviews on travel review sites, I was wondering if there was a grocery store near by so we can cut food costs for cereal and sandwiches.

    Hi Jennifer! Get ready for fun in the sun and BLISS! We love Disney's Vero Beach Resort and the relaxed and casual elegance of Florida's picturesque Atlantic Treasure Coast. It's our vacation oasis!

    I'm sorry you're hearing conflicting information from travel sites....while this beautiful beach resort is off the beaten path, you'll have no trouble finding a grocery store near by. My favorite is Publix and it's just a 5-minute drive from the resort (the full address is: 9621 N US Highway 1 Sebastian, FL 32958). You'll have no trouble picking up your family's food essentials at there. For me that usually includes fruits, milk, cereal, eggs, cheese, waffles, bread, orange juice, lunch meat for sandwiches, nachos/tortillas, salad mix, crackers, spaghetti, rotisserie chicken...basically our family favorites essentials.  As a Mom with little ones there's nothing better than being able to save money by cooking meals for my family in our vacation home...I LOVE it.

    After you've had a great meal it's time to enjoy the best thing at Disney's Vero Beach Resort...the BEACH! There's nothing like taking in the beautiful scene of the coast from your beach side cabana. Don't forget to bring along a shovel and pail for sand castles.

    Disney's Vero Beach Resort is a family favorite! Each time we've visited, we have fun exploring the area you won't find a more friendly community! We love the ocean-side farmers market, beach boutiques and nearby grocery stores.
