Hi, My family and I will be staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort this. My daughter is autistic had has a rigid diet, iv noticed there are no microwaves in the rooms but I was just trying to find out if there are microwaves to use in the food cour

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with such a great question! My youngest has a very limited diet as well, so we often have to make alternative arrangements for his meals too.

You are correct, the rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort do not have microwaves. However, there are microwaves available for use in the Old Port Royale Food Court. There is no requirement to have purchased any items from the food court in order to make use of them. You are most welcome to use the microwaves in the food court as much as you would like throughout your entire stay.

You didn't mention what type of accommodations you have booked at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. If at all possible, I recommend a Preferred Room located in Martinique Buildings 24-26, or Trinidad North Buildings 31-33. Those buildings are in closer proximity to the Old Port Royale Food Court. Please keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed, and are based on availability at the time of check-in. In order to note a room request on your reservation, please call (407) W-DISNEY, or (407) 934-7639.

I hope this helps, Lisa. If you have any questions specifically pertaining to traveling to any Disney destination with Autism, I highly recommend sending them directly to my Disney Parks Moms Panel friend Jackie P. She'll provide you with some excellent advice on how to make your daughter's experience even more magical!

Wishing your family a most unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
