Greetings, Robyn, and welcome to planDisney! December is one of the most enchanting times of the year at the Disneyland Resort. Joyous entertainment, decadent foods, festive merchandise, and shimmering lights – there's
so much to look forward to! And with the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll be able to experience even more while in the parks!
Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections work a little differently at the Disneyland Resort than they do at Walt Disney World. Instead of booking in advance, you’ll make your first selection as soon as you’ve entered Disneyland or California Adventure. Just open the
Disneyland mobile app and choose your first attraction. Once you’ve redeemed your selection (or after two hours have passed since you made a selection), you can book your next attraction.
Some of the most popular attractions are more likely to have later return windows than others, especially as the day progresses. I recommend prioritizing Indiana Jones Adventure and Space Mountain in Disneyland, and Guardians of the Galaxy and Toy Story Midway Mania in California Adventure.
Another perk of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is unlimited downloads of
Disney PhotoPass digital photos. There are PhotoPass photographers positioned at magical spots throughout the Resort, ready to capture wonderful family photos. The photographers will guide your group, set up the shot, and sprinkle in just the right amount of magic.
In case you were wondering, Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers are not included in the multi pass at this time. If you'd like to use the Lightning Lane entrance for these attractions, you'd need to
purchase a single pass. This can be done in the mobile app after you've entered the park. Just make sure to time your purchase appropriately, as it's sold with the next available arrival window.
Robyn, I love that you're staying at the
Disneyland Hotel. It's one of my favorite places, perfectly blending nostalgia with modern Disney whimsy. The rooms are full of charming details, such as headboards at each bed with fireworks that twinkle, decorative pillows, Mickey glove accents on the lamps, and framed artwork. The
pool area has a tropical vibe, and my kids never get tired of the Monorail water slides. Plus, you can stop at
Tangaroa Terrace for a Dole Whip when it's time for a break.
From the Disneyland Hotel, it's particularly easy to get into Disneyland via the
Disneyland Monorail. Just walk into the Downtown Disney District and board for a quick ride into Tomorrowland. Alternatively, the Esplanade is a short walk away if you want to enter Disneyland or California Adventure through the main entrance.
Robyn, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your vacation plans. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
