Hi Deborah! Welcome to planDisney!
You have picked one of the best times of the year to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort! The weather is absolutely perfect in April, which makes for comfortable park days. I love that you get to share these experiences with your family on this trip. My parents joined my family a couple of years back on a long weekend trip and we had the best time. Being able to make lasting memories and share in all the fun experiences made for one of the best Disney vacations we took.
I hope your family is excited about staying in a
Disney Resorts Hotel. There is nothing quite like being immersed in the magic upon arrival! Even better yet, transportation around Walt Disney World is available to all Guests whether they are staying onsite or not. When you are traveling from park to park with your park hopper ticket,
Disney transportation will come in handy to get to your destination.
You will be able to visit your family while you are there, but parking will be a separate condition. Only Guests that have a room or dining reservation are allowed to park at the resort. I would recommend having your family speak to the front desk to see if they can add you on as a Guest for the day. If they do, you’ll just need to show a valid photo ID upon arrival to the security guard at the gate. This will be your best option to start your day with your family.
If you are unable to
park at the resort, I would suggest meeting them at the parks in the morning and then taking Disney transportation back to spend time with them at their resort. To get back to your car when you are done, simply take the same mode of transportation back to the park where your car is parked.
Deborah, I hope you are able to navigate your trip with ease. Have a magical time with your family on your trip!
See ya real soon!
