Welcome to planDisney, Nicole! It's unde-
bait-able, fishing at Walt Disney World Resort is a wonderful way to spend a day. I am so glad you swam by with this question.
One of my favorite memories at
Walt Disney World Resort was my son learning to fish at the Fishin' Hole at Ol' Man Island at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. He was so excited when he caught his first fish ever. With Disney's catch-and-release program, we took a cute picture of his catch and he came home with a small trophy commemorating his achievement.
There are several
guided fishing excursions at resorts in Walt Disney World, including
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. These adventures are fantastic fin-ishes to your resort stay. You can, of course, reel in the fun in these excursions, but you cannot fish on your own in the waterways.
If your boys love the outdoors, they may enjoy the nightly
Caribbean Beach Campfires. You can roast marshmallows near the main beach close to Martinique. This happens each night between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. Most nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) you can head from the campfire to Caribbean Cay Island for
Movies Under the Stars at 8:30 pm. After walking all day in a theme park, a bit of time roasting marshmallows and watching a movie outside is a perfect, relaxing way to spend your evening.
Caribbean Beach feels so close to everything with the
Disney Skyliner right at the resort. For time on the water, you can also take the Skyliner to
EPCOT and take the FriendShip boat around the BoardWalk resorts and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. With the Skyliner, it's not the most direct route to Hollywood Studios, but where else can you take to the skies and the water in a short trek to your destination?
I hope your trip has you filled to the gills with fun! If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. Helping Guests gives our days
porpoise!
Just Keep Swimming!
