Hi there, Margaret, and welcome to planDisney!
Can you believe that in a little over a month, you will be in the middle of the magic? How exciting is that? The memories I have made with family (and friends who have become family) in The Most Magical Place on Earth will forever remain in my heart, so I'm thrilled that you will soon be making lifelong memories of your own.
One benefit of staying at different
Disney Resort hotels is that your family will be able to explore each other's hotels (especially the impeccable theming and dining). I regularly find myself sipping and strolling through various Disney Resort hotels - especially those dreamy
Deluxe Resorts - as I dream of a future vacation in which I am a Guest. Although non-Guests are welcome to enjoy the public areas of Disney Resort hotels, unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort policy excludes pools from the areas available to the public in order to ensure hotel Guests are able to fully enjoy their dedicated amenities.
While I'm sure this is not what you were hoping to hear if you're looking to cool down as a group (and who can blame you - it's Florida in May!),
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park provides ample space and entertainment options sure to please youthful and more mature Mouseketeers alike. Looking for rest and relaxation? Grad a lounger or blissfully drift along Castaway Creek. Up for an adrenaline rush? Embark on a journey along Miss Adventure Falls. There's something for everyone!
I hope this was helpful, Margaret, and that your family is able to spend lots of quality time together during your vacation. I find that some of my favorite conversations take place at the dinner table, so be sure to
peruse menus and make dining reservations before you depart. If there's a place you're dying to try without availability, it never hurts to walk up and see if they have same-day availability.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to
stop back by! I'm always happy to help!
Cheers,
Lizzie
