We are a family of 5 staying 9 days. How can we save money on meals?

This easiest way to save money on meals, Russ, is to supplement the meals you'll buy in Disney's restaurants with inexpensive snacks you either bring along or purchase after you arrive (there are many grocery delivery items in Orlando should you need them).  Many guests find that eating breakfast in the hotel room saves a big chunk of change.  Items like boxed cereals, fruit and yogurt are convenient and inexpensive items that will start your day off right.  Keeping a supply of bottled water will be helpful, too!  You might also consider bringing along non-perishable items like crackers, dried fruits, and granola bars to get you through lunch feeling satisfied.  As for eating out, you'll save the most by opting to eat counter service meals.  If you do choose a few table service meals, you'll want to dine at lunch when prices are a bit lower.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
