    My family will be staying at the Coronado Springs Resort in June. One morning we have 7:05 AM reservations for Chef Mickey's. Will the Disney transportation system be running at that time? If not what is the best way to travel to the Contemporary?

    Hi Shannon.

    Congratulations on your fast-approaching trip to Walt Disney World!

    Disney Transportation buses begin operating shortly past 6am with the specific purpose of transporting Disney Resort Hotel Guests like yourself to early morning Character DIning Reservations in the parks.

    Head on out to your Coronado Springs main bus stop (outside El Centro) by 6:15am and check in with the Cast Member who will be there monitoring bus activity and Guests' needs. Let her/him know where you're headed and you'll be advised which bus to take and how soon you can expect it to arrive. Your most likely route will be a bus to Magic Kingdom followed by a short walk (about 10 minutes) down the foot path directly to Disney's Contemporary Resort where you'll proceed on up to Chef Mickey's.

    If you'd prefer to do without the early morning walk or would rather not need to leave quite so early, you may certainly hire a cab if you wish. Again, head to the resort's main lobby entrance at El Centro and a Cast Member there will call a cab over for you. You can expect the fare to be approximately $15 and the should take about 15-20 minutes. You'll be dropped off right at the lobby entrance at the Contemporary. If you choose to go with the taxi, plan to arrive at El Centro by 6:30-6:40am to ensure enough time.
