My family will be staying at Coronado Springs in May. My daughter has a peanut/tree nut allergy. I am wondering how accommodating the restaurants are to allergies.

    Hi Karen,

Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Walt Disney World Resort has been fantastic at accommodating my son's multiple food allergies! In particular, I think the table service restaurants have been the easiest way for our family to manage my son's dietary restrictions while on our vacations. You will need to make reservations for all of the restaurants you plan on attending. I like to make our family's reservations over the phone at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 so I can speak directly with a Cast Member to explain the food allergies in our party. When you arrive at the restaurant, be sure to mention your daughter's allergies again. Your server and/or the chef will be able to help select items for your daughter that are both safe and yummy!

In our experiences, it has been extremely important to the chefs at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants that my son is not only safe, but also feels included in every dining experience we have had. One chef even made him his own version of "bread" out of pizza dough so our whole family could enjoy bread service together, a treat that we generally skip so he doesn't feel left out. I know all of the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort will take great care of your family as well!

Have a magical day and let me know if you have any other questions as you get closer to your trip!
