You are correct, from January 25, 2026, through January 31, 2026, the
Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available during this time to the affected resorts, which includes Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Depending on how early your reservation is, you have two options. The first would be to take a bus from your resort to one of the four theme parks, then transfer to a bus from the park to the Riviera Resort. Generally speaking, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is the first to open, typically at 8:00 AM, with Early Theme Park Entry beginning at 7:30 AM.
If your reservation is earlier, or if you would prefer another alternative, a second option would be to take a ride share service or a
Minnie Van via the Lyft app while on Walt Disney World Resort property. This would also be the quickest option early in the morning.
While you’re at the Riviera Resort, I highly recommend checking out the stunning floor-to-ceiling mosaic murals on the walkway that leads to the Disney Skyliner station. The area also has a water feature; it’s the perfect place to take a family photo! Also, if I may make a recommendation for breakfast, my personal favorite menu item is the
Wood-fired Steak and Eggs. It’s fantastic!
