My family is staying at campgrounds at fort wilderness. Is there any sort of bus schedule so we can plan how early we need to be up and going to each park?

Hi Samantha! The Fort Wilderness Resort is a hidden gem for guests vacationing at Walt Disney World. Both the cabins and campsites offer a peaceful and quiet atmosphere yet the resort is teeming with fun activities all the time.

To reach Animal Kingdom. Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs guests will need to make their way up to the front of the resort where the main bus depot is located. There are paved walking paths that connect this resort but a walk from a campsite to the front is quite long. This resort operates an excellent internal bus system and the waits are generally quite short. There are many different spots to catch a bus and each loop has one located close to them. They will drop you off at the front, the marina, and anywhere in between. When planning your timing I would add 30 minutes for this just to be safe.

To reach the Magic Kingdom park you would need to head to the marina on the lake where only boats will take you to this theme park. Again the internal buses will drop you there or you can take a shorter walk from the campsites to the marina.

Buses begin running as early as 6:30am every day and will continue to operate until the last bus from Disney Springs has dropped guests off. That can be as late as 1or 2am. There is not a set schedule but just know they run every 15-20 minutes.
