As they say in the wilderness, "Howdy Julie!"
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with such a great question for us! My family and I absolutely adore staying within the rustic home-away-from-home-sweet-home
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, they really are practically perfect in every way and I'm sure your family will have lots of fun lodging in them during their upcoming vacation.
Similarly, as you've described in your question, we have good friends who live in Orlando and they too like to visit with us whilst we're staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Therefore, I'm more than happy to share that in my own experience, our friends have stopped by our Cabin for a visit and enjoyed a grill-out with us. Plus, they've even joined us at
Chef Mickey's where we had the pleasure of introducing them to the Big Cheese himself - Mickey Mouse!
However, I would say that at this time as we continue to
Return to a World of Magic at Walt Disney World Resort it might be worth bearing in mind that you
may have to register as a day-Guest at The Outpost reception area upon entering Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. So, Julie, you'll want to be sure to bring along a
valid photo ID and enquire about any possible entry requirements with the Security Cast Member as you drive into
The Fort's parking lot.
I feel quite sure that you'll enjoy a zip-a-dee-doo-dah time visiting with your dear family at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and before long they'll be singing you a fond farewell with
"Now it's time to say goodbye to all our company, M-I-C 'See ya real soon' K-E-Y!"
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
