    Hi Moms, My family and I are staying at the Beach Club resort in February. (Our third time - we love it there). I tried to make a reservation at the Captains Grille to no success. Is it still there? Is there another non Character dining option? Thank you

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sara! 

    We are kindred Walt Disney World® Resort hotel spirits, I love Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts as well! In fact, we just returned from Disney's Beach Club Resort after a magical Thanksgiving vacation, and will be making our way back to Disney's Yacht Club Resort in less than a month.

    I also loved Captain's Grille, especially for breakfast, so I was sad when it shut down for a re-imagination.....until I had the opportunity to try its replacement, the Ale & Compass Restaurant. This "Gastropub" is in the same location of what was Captain's Grille and is Walt Disney World's newest Resort hotel eatery. 

    Serving New England-style fare, Ale & Compass offers a classy, upscale environment with an exceptional menu and service. Before you dine, I also suggest stopping by the Ale & Compass Lounge - it's beautiful! 

    In addition to Ale & Compass, you'll also find other table service options, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and for dinner hours, Cape May Cafe offers non-character dining.
