    Hello, My family and I will be staying at the Beach club in August and we will have dining credit, my question is - can we use the dining credit to pay off our magic band at the end of the stay or will we need to present a bar code each time we order?

    Welcome to planDisney!  It won't be long until your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth is here!  As you enter these final weeks before your trip, you may want to check out the latest mini-episode of the planDisney Podcast where my panelist pals Lizzie and Diane share all of their best tips for counting down to your trip!  

    Louise, it sounds like you have a Disney Dining Promo Card to use during your trip.  The credit on these cards can be used at select dining locations around Walt Disney World Resort including many snack carts, Quick-Service locations, and Table-Service restaurants.  However, it cannot be used at retail locations that sell food or candy kitchens.  Since the promo card cannot be used like a standard gift card throughout Walt Disney World Resort, unfortunately, you can't apply it to charges to your hotel room from your MagicBand.  When you receive your dining card by email, you can continue to access the barcode from there or save it to your mobile wallet.  You'll have to present the barcode each time you order or you can use it when mobile ordering in your My Disney Experience Mobile App.  I like to save my card number in a note on my phone so it's easy to cut and paste when I'm placing my mobile order!  

    While you're at Disney's Beach Club Resort, there are some great dining options you'll want to check out with that dining credit!  Our family loved Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe where Minnie and her friends will join you for a wonderful buffet feast.  At Beaches & Cream Soda Shop you'll find some wonderful burgers and sandwiches, but the star of the show is definitely dessert.  Don't miss the Kitchen Sink Sundae, but be sure to bring the whole family to tackle this giant treat!  Advanced dining reservations for Table-Service restaurants open 60 days before your arrival for the entire length of your stay (up to ten days) which means they should be opening very soon for your trip!
