Our family of 5 is staying at Bay Lake Tower in March 2026. We'd like to do an early breakfast at Topolino's at Riviera (ie 730-8a). If parks open at 9a and buses start at 8a, how do get there in time if it takes an hour for the trip itself?!?

Welcome to planDisney, Heather! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. Breakfast at Topolino's Terrace is my favorite character meal, and I'm excited to hear that you're going to try it out on your trip this spring. Getting there is the first step, so let's chat about your options for early morning transportation!

Since your reservation is going to be around 7:30 AM, you're right to think through transportation ahead of time. That early in the morning, you really won't be able to rely on complimentary resort transportation to get you from Bay Lake Tower to Disney's Riviera Resort in time. Buses generally start running about 45 to 60 minutes before park opening, so it's not the ideal time to try to get from your resort to a park to transfer to a bus going to the Riviera.

Your best bet is to use a rideshare service or a Minnie Van via the Lyft app. With either option, you'll just walk over to the front of Disney's Contemporary Resort, set your pickup location there, and get a direct ride to the Riviera. I'd plan to be outside about 30-40 minutes before your reservation, just to allow a little cushion.

If any of your kids need car seats, a Minnie Van is definitely your best choice. Each Minnie Van comes with two car seats and drivers who are trained on how to install them safely, which makes things so much easier when you're juggling little ones and an early morning. Once you're at the Riviera, you'll be in perfect shape to check in at Topolino's Terrace, enjoy that gorgeous rooftop view, and hang out with the characters without stressing about buses or timing. After breakfast, you can hop on the Skyliner or grab a bus to wherever you're headed next!

I hope this answers your question, Heather, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
