Hi Scott, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for
strolling by with your question. I'm
wheely happy you're here, and I'd be happy to give you a
push in the right direction.
My two Mouseketeers have left their wheels behind when venturing out at home, but since exploring the
Walt Disney World theme parks can require walking eight or more miles per day, we still like to have a double stroller on hand during our trips. Well-rested kiddos can enjoy more time in the parks and keep everyone happy!
Disney offers double stroller rentals inside each of the theme parks on a daily or length of stay basis, but we like to have ours at the resort since some of the furthest distances we cover are between the bus stops and park entrances. You can't take the Disney strollers out of the theme parks, so we rent from Disney's preferred third-party vendor, ScooterBug. We reserve our stroller of choice, and a very nice double stroller is waiting for us at Bell Services at our
Resort Hotel upon arrival. When we are ready to leave, (well, when we
have to leave because no one is ever
ready to leave!), we drop the stroller off with Bell Services and a representative from ScooterBug will pick it up.
I noticed you'll be staying at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. As Crush would say, "Totally awesome, dude!" The theming here is so much fun, and the
Disney Skyliner is my favorite way to travel around the Walt Disney World Resort. The gondolas can accommodate most strollers without needing to fold them, which is an added convenience when staying here with a double.
I hope this is helpful as you prepare for your upcoming adventure. You'll be visiting just as the
50th-anniversary celebration is getting underway, so be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog and
social media for exciting updates as the big event approaches. Thanks again for coming by planDisney, Scott, and we'll see ya real soon!
