We have family staying at Art of Animation resort. We plan to meet our family there but will be arriving and leaving by rideshare like Uber or Lyft. Will we be allowed to be dropped off at the hotel even if we are not resort guests?

    Hello Cristina!

Your family will love staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort! I have had the opportunity to stay in a Little Mermaid Standard Room and a Finding Nemo Family Suite. Both rooms were incredible!

Yes, you can visit your family at Disney's Art of Animation Resort if you arrive by a ride-share service such as Lyft or Uber. The Lyft or Uber driver will tell the Cast Member at Disney's Art of Animation Resort that they are dropping off Guests. According to my experiences, sometimes, at the security gate to the Resort, the Cast Member will ask for your photo ID, such as a driver's license and your name. Also, if you have the Walt Disney World Resort room number that your family is staying in, it can help speed up the process of looking up and verifying that they are a Guest staying at that particular Resort. Hopefully, your family can show you around Disney's Art of Animation while you are visiting them. When you are done visiting your family, you can get a Lyft or Uber to pick you up by using their respective mobile apps. I have done this many times on my Walt Disney World vacations.

I hope you have a magical time visiting your family at Disney's Art of Animation Resort!
