Hello! My family and I are staying at the Art of Animation resort- cars suite. Are we allowed to bring in a large cooler with our food items to keep in the room? We will be coming from eight hours away and do not plan on purchasing a meal plan.

Hi Megan!  Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

You are going to love staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort! The suites are spacious which gives everyone some extra elbow room and having two full bathrooms makes it super convenient to get ready for the parks in the morning. Great choice!

You are welcome to bring a cooler to your room with food items.  And in case you didn't know, the suite comes equipped with a small refrigerator and a microwave in the kitchenette.  I use the freezer section of the refrigerator to freeze water bottles which serve as ice packs when packing my cooler backpack before heading to the parks in the morning.  I enjoy sipping on the ice-cold water as it melts throughout the day.

I also want to be sure you know that you are welcome to dine at any of the Walt Disney World Dining Locations, even if you are not on a dining plan.  In fact, Landscape of Flavors is a wonderful food court located at Disney's Art of Animation and not too far from where you will be staying.

One of the best perks to staying at Disney's Art of Animation is having access to the Disney Skyliner.  You will use the Skyliner to travel to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.  Please note when traveling by Skyliner first thing in the morning, a line will form on Disney's Pop Century Resort side of the loading area.  Everyone is excited to get to the parks early! Give yourself a couple extra minutes to get in line but once you are in it, the line will move fairly quickly.  This is the only time of day I have seen a line form.

Megan, I hope you enjoy Disney's Art of Animation as much as I do.  I'm happy to help with any follow-up questions you may have and I hope your vacation is truly magical!
