Hi, my family and I will be staying at AoA 9/4-9/14/14 and want to split our stay in 2 different rooms. How does that work with the MagicBands? Will we have to get new bands when we switch rooms so that we can keep using the band to buy stuff, etc?

    Hi Jody!

You are going to love staying at the Art of Animation Resort because it is an amazing Walt Disney World Resort!  If you are staying at the same Walt Disney World Resort (even with switching room during your stay) you should receive one Magic Band per person and it will work to open the door for whatever room that you are in even if you switch rooms.  If you happen to receive two Magic Bands for your stay, then they both will open your room doors as long as they are active Magic Bands on your My Disney Experience account.  I have used Magic Bands from my previous Walt Disney World vacations to open my my door of my current Walt Disney World Resort and they worked because they were still active in my My Disney Experience account.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
