    Hi, If My family is staying in an Animal Kingdom resort, do we still have to buy tickets to Animal Kingdom? May we walk without an extra charge around the trails and such at the Animal Kingdom property, or do we need to use an admission ticket? Thank you.

    Hi Diane! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I absolutely adore Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and am happy to hear that you are staying there very soon! In my opinion, it is one of the most relaxing and quiet Disney Resort hotels. I think you will really enjoy your time there like my family does!

    You will find some outdoor areas that you can walk around at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and see the many animals roaming the Savanna. On our last visit, my family had breakfast at Sanaa and chose a table next to the window so we could watch the animals. We had a few birds come up to the window next to where we were sitting, and they were so fun to watch! My kids loved it!

    As for the trails in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you will need a valid theme park ticket for admission. You'll find the exploration trails in various areas of Disney's Animal Kingdom and they are all unique! My kids had SO much fun as Wilderness Explorers with many of the stations on the trails and I highly recommend this activity to families. It is a great way to see all of the different areas of the theme park, as well as learn many interesting facts along the way!
