Hi! My family is staying at AKL, standard room in early Feb '14. We won't get that great savannah view with this room (reached our budget) but wonder if the queen/ bunk beds offered in some standard rooms cost more per night than two queen beds? Thanks!

    Hi Bethany!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great resort choice. Regardless of whether you choose to splurge on a savanna view room, the amenities and common areas from which to view the savanna and animals make the resort a fantastic option!

Generally, the difference between a standard room with 2 queen beds and one with 1 queen and bunk beds is approximately $18/night. This is my favourite room type since I have a 'tween' boy and teenage daughter! Having 3 separate beds is a perfect option for us and is well worth the small amount extra nightly. Another resort which offers this type of room configuration is Disney's Wilderness Lodge. You may wish to consider it as an alternate option as well if bunk beds suit your family's needs.

I hope this information is helpful to you Bethany!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
