My family of 7 are staying in adjoining rooms at the Poly in Feb. I paid for the MK view and am wondering which houses these types of rooms would be located in and if they would have a patio/balcony or need to request it? Which house would you recommend?

    Aloha Stephanie,

I was just a guest at Disney's Polynesian Resort last week.  It is a gorgeous, tropical island-themed paradise.  You and your family are going to love it!

The large and well-appointed guest rooms at the Polynesian are divided among eleven "longhouses."  The ones right along the Seven Seas Lagoon will likely give you the best view of the Magic Kingdom.  You may very well be assigned a room in Tuvalu or Tahiti if you requested a Magic Kingdom view.  The Hawaii longhouse also has stunning views of Cinderella Castle, but you will not be assigned to this area unless you have reserved a club level room.  Not all rooms at the Polynesian have balconies, so if having a balcony is important to you be sure to have a cast member note that request on your reservation as soon as possible.

Although the views are not as breath-taking, personally I would request a room in Roratonga or Aotearoa because of their proximity to the Great Ceremonial House.  I don't really think it's possible to have a bad view at such a lush and well-themed resort.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation in just a few short weeks!
