My family of 5 stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, in 2001,2002, and 2003. The website states only a family of 4 can stay there now. Is this correct?

Your family has stayed many times at one of my favorite hotels! The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great resort.

To clarify, the maximum occupancy in most rooms is 4 people. In addition a child under age 3 is permitted in a pack 'n' play crib. Perhaps your earlier vacations included a small child or a deluxe room.

Deluxe rooms allow up to five people, plus one child under 3 in a crib. Pricier suite options are also available.

The new villa accommodations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge have varying room occupancies. Studio and 1 bedroom villas allow 4 people. Two bedroom villas allow 8 and the Grand Villas will allow 12. You can add a child under 3 in a crib to each of these villas too. Some rooms are now available while others are in the building stage.

I hope you are able to return to your family's special resort.
