Hey Nicole, welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled to hear from a fellow Canadian and can't wait to chat with you about your next adventure. It sounds like you're planning to cross borders and stay at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - how exciting! Let's dive in!
I'm sure you will have a great time. You can rest assured that the Resort is open year-round, but keep in mind that some dates for this year may already be sold out, so you might want to check availability before making any plans. Halloween is especially popular due to all the fun activities there. You'll love seeing all the campers getting into the festive spirit with their campsite decorations,
golf cart parades, costumes, and contests. And if you're feeling brave, you can even visit The Campgrounds on Halloween night! Remember that you won't be able to park at the Resort if you're not staying there, but don't worry, you can take a bus or water taxi to join in on the evening's festivities.
Typically, the
Walt Disney World Resort announces the dates, prices, and booking availability for the upcoming year in May or June. That means many guests start booking October dates way in advance. I searched and found available campsites for you from October 27th to October 30th, but unfortunately, I couldn't see any available campsites starting from October 30th.
No need to stress if you haven't found your dream vacation dates yet! My best advice for you is to keep trying. Disney is
super flexible regarding reservations, so people constantly change or cancel their bookings, meaning the dates you want could become available again soon. If you're planning on bringing your RV, the best thing to do is check the website daily until you find the perfect dates.
Nicole, it doesn't matter where you and your family decide to stay; you're all going to have an absolute blast! And if you have any more questions,
just give us a shout - we're always here to help out!
Cheers
Nilson
