My family and I would like to stay at a Deluxe hotel on our May 2010 trip and we're trying to decide between the Poly and Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have 3 kids ages 7, 4 and 1 1/2. Which do you suggest?

Hello Debbie - I love both resorts and wouldn't hesitate to stay at either.  However, with younger children, I think I would prefer the Polynesian (Poly) due to the convenience and location to Magic Kingdom (MK).  At the Poly, you'll have access to the monorail which makes getting to MK a breeze - it's a quick ride - just two stops away.  When going to Epcot, you can transfer monorails at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) making that a convenient option as well.  (You can also actually walk to the TTC from the Poly but I prefer to use the monorail whenever possible.)

At the Animal Kingdom, you'll need to take buses everywhere.  I've never had a problem with the bus system while staying there but it certainly doesn't compare to the convenience of the monorail.

Also, when staying at the Poly, you'll be able to enjoy the beach with a beautiful view of Cinderella Castle - very magical for kids of all ages.  The Electrical Water Pageant stops by nightly (usually 9:00 p.m.) and you also have a great view of  Wishes.

I hope this helps with your decision.  Diane  :)
