My family is spending the week of Thanksgiving at Disney World. We are excited for all the holiday decortations, and even managed to get reservations at Be Our Guest for Thanksgiving dinner. Can we expect anything special for that meal? Menu change?

    Hi Christina,

We love Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World! My family spent the holiday there for the first time last year, and we are booked again this year.

The official Thanksgiving menus haven't been released yet, but we found that most venues -- including a number of counter service restaurants -- gave a nod to the holiday with some kind of turkey special. Here's a link to the Disney Parks Blog entry on Thanksgiving dining for 2013 to give you some idea of what to expect.

We ate our Thanksgiving dinner at Boma and even though it wasn't mentioned as a restaurant with an official holiday menu, the buffet included turkey, stuffing and other traditional fare next to the regular African-influenced selections. So we were able to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Be Our Guest is such a beautiful space, and I've always had wonderful dining experiences there. I'm sure you and your family will have a memorable holiday meal. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy, and maybe I'll see you in the parks!
