Hi! Our family will be spending christmas in Orlando this year. Do you have a date for Disney Christmas Parade filming?

    Hi Jeannette!

I've been at Walt Disney World twice when they've been filming the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Unfortunately, it was a pure accident on my part for both of those occasions - so I had no prior knowledge of the taping before I planned my visits.

The first time I was there for the taping, I was visiting the week after Thanksgiving in 2001.  The second time was just this past year, and the taping was on November 30th. If I recall, they may have planned a second day of taping on December 1st as well.

It's been my experience in the past that Disney doesn't make an official announcement about when they'll be taping for events like this one. If they did in the past, I must have missed them. I wish I could offer a more definitive answer!

I will say this - it was pretty cool being there when they taped. When we were there for the 2012 taping, I happened to be walking through Town Square as they were taking a break and Nick Cannon was hanging out and talking to everyone. I thought that was really cool of him. Plus it was neat to see the other special surprises they had in store.

If you should have any other questions, please feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can!

    Best regards,
    Derek
