    My family size -2 adults, a 15 y/old and 5 y/old twins. I am debating Port Orleans or the Contemporary resort. The Contemporary seems like the best choice but is the convenience worth the extra $800.00 over the Port Orleans when you have 5 year old twins?

    Hi, Matthew,   If you can fit the $800 into your budget, I would go for the upgrade to the Contemporary Resort.    With a family of 5, you will have to stay at Port Orleans Riverside in Alligator Bayou;  This is the only location that allows 5 guests in room since it will have a trundle bed.   But that is the catch - one of your twins will have to sleep in the trundle, and I'm not sure how comfortable that will be after a few nights!     Now don't get me wrong - POR is one of my favorite resorts, and if you don't mind the trundle,  you will be just fine!

    By staying at the Contemporary, you get 2 queen beds plus a daybed and a bigger room.  Everyone will have a comfortable place to sleep and there simply is more closet space and more room for your family.   The location of the Contemporary can't be beat!  You are just a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Magic Kingdom!    The Contemporary is home to Chef Mickey's, a monorail that zooms through the middle of the Tower, a great pool and beach area, and a marina.

    With either resort, you will have a super vacation.   The Contemporary will just give you those little extras that make it a truly Deluxe Resort!
