We are a family of six. My oldest is 9years old and my youngest is 10 months. We have to get two rooms. My question is would it be better to do a suite so we can all be together or two rooms. Trying to do this cruise as cheap as possible?

    Hi there, Tanya!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, fellow Texan!  I am so glad that you found us while resEARching a Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Let me tell you, you cannot go wrong with a voyage on “The Mickey Boat”!  They are simply magical, and I love that SO MUCH is already included with your reservation!  There really is something for everyone and I know this will be a vacation you will remember for a long time!

I am hopeful that I can help guide you in making the best decision for your family when it comes to accommodations while onboard.  In my opinion, your best bet is going to be to reserve two adjoining staterooms as opposed to reserving one of the suites onboard.  First off, the suites are limited and can be harder to reserve whereas adjoining staterooms are plentiful and likely may be less costly than one of the onboard suites.  Each Disney Cruise Line ship has connecting staterooms in each stateroom type (inside, oceanview, verandah) giving you some flexibility in finding staterooms that fit within your budget and needs.  And, if they are connecting, you can easily feel like you are all together by simply opening the connecting door and if you choose a verandah stateroom, the partition can even be removed by your stateroom host or hostess extending the verandah between the two rooms!  Then, if the littlest Mouseketeer needs a nap or earlier bedtime than the others, you can put the little one to bed while the others hang out, take baths and get ready for bed in the other stateroom!  And, you will most definitely welcome having two split-room bathrooms giving everyone plenty of space!

Of course, Tanya, I don’t think you will be disappointed with any decision you make but hopefully this information provides you with some additional information and is helpful in guiding you in your decision making.  Once you get your adventure booked, please come back with any other questions you have!

Wishing you an incredible adventure with many magical memories made!

    Happy Sailing!
