I have a family of six and we are going to be there Halloween weekend. Should I wait to purchase the park tickets until the special event information is available?

    Boo to you, Emma Jo!

Thank you so much for your question. You reminded me that I needed to make a Good Neighbor Hotel reservation for my family of six to be ready for a visit during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. Now, like you, we eagerly await the expected announcement about ticket sales for Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. We’ll be watching the Disney Parks Blog carefully for the announcement, perhaps within the next month or so.

As for purchasing Special Event Tickets and regular theme park tickets, I do think it would be fine to wait until the announcement of ticket sales for the Halloween party. With that announcement, you will find nearly all the information needed to establish dates and budgets. If you do happen to choose to purchase tickets sooner than later, you’ll still find that your tickets will remain valid for your visit in October. Currently, regular theme park tickets being sold are valid through at least December 30, 2021.

I’m certain you will have a boo-tiful time at Oogie Boogie’s event. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the many Immersive Treat Trails at the party last year. One of my favorite experiences was Villains Grove. Activities and entertainment may be subject to change this year. Though I dare say it will be a spook-tacular event again this year.

Thanks again for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emma Jo. Please feel free to come by again with any more questions you may have.

    Have a happy Halloween!
