I have a family of six cannot afford Hoop Review and Very Merry Christmas Party which one should we choose, which one is more worth the splurge?

    Hi Janice,

Wow! You are asking about 2 awesome experiences that are loved by so many people - VERY tough choice & I LOVE them both.  However, I would recommend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Here are a few reasons why I would give my vote to MVMCP:

HDDR is offered throughout the year - MVMCP is not so you would have more of an opportunity to see HDDR if you traveled at other times during the year.

HDDR lasts approximately two hours and MVMCP usually lasts approximately 5 hours so you get more time for your money.

There are special events associated with MVMCP party (i.e., the Christmas parade, free yummy treats, dance party at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, snowing on Main Street, special shows) that aren't held throughout the year in MK.

Tickets for MVMCP are limited so there is less of a crowd at MK which allows you to ride attractions without the long lines.

MVMCP really puts you in the Christmas spirit and there is extra excitement in the air at MK. They have a special fireworks display during MVMCP.

I don't want to hurt any HDDR fan's feelings - I love it! It is one of the longest running shows at Disney and for a good reason - its big fun and the food is awesome (and all you can eat). But if I had to choose between the two, MVMCP gets my vote for the Christmas season and I'd put HDDR at the top of my list for my next trip.

Wishing you many magical memories :-)
