I have a family of six (3 adults and 3 child). I would like to go during spring break. Is it true that it will be very crowded? Are the rates for the resorts going to be more expensive? I tried to book a resort but I could not book that far in advance.

Yes, it is one of the more crowded times of the year.  The hotels are higher, supply and demand, the hotels book up.  The crowd starts to increase anywhere from the third week of March to the third week of April.  Don't let the crowds scare you away, as soon as the rates come available, I am assuming you are looking into 2009, I would go ahead and book a room or two and book room only, then you can shop around for your ticket prices, checking with corporate rates, or AAA.   If you decide later to add tickets, and then the meal plan, it wouldn't be any different in price than if you had booked it that day.  The rooms can fluctuate in price as all hotels do, when they start to book up.  Disney is a great place to spend spring break, the weather is wonderful - just have a bit of patience and let the magic happen!!!  Have fun!!!
