I am a family of seven and we are planning a trip in May. We will not be staying at the Disney resort but will be visiting the park for two days. My question is how and when would be the best time to plan out our meals?

    Hi Candy,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. So nice to know that you are going to have two magical days with your family at WDW. With a big group, you should take advantage of the advanced reservation system. You can schedule your meal with 180 days prior to your visit, for all the table services restaurants. With only two days and lots of attractions to see/experience, you don’t want to lose much time on meals. My suggestion is to schedule only one character meal at Crystal Palace, or at Cinderella’s Royal Table, both located inside Magic Kingdom. If you are going to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you should try a breakfast or lunch at Tusker House Restaurant. You can save money and time, by having breakfast at your hotel, purchasing some items at some grocery store. The other meals, during the day, you should have them at a quick service restaurant. Avoid having meals between 11:00 a. m. and 2:00 p. m. Also, have an early diner around 5:30 p. m.  You can read great reviews about Disney’s restaurants at Touring Plans and at the Disney’s official page; you can see all the menus to help you decide what the best restaurants to your family are. Remember to schedule all your FastPass+ with 30 days in advance.

    Have fun at WDW!
