Hi Juan! Welcome to planDisney!
With so many accommodation options available to you, I'm excited you are considering staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your visit. There is something special about being a part of the magic for the duration of your stay. The level of service you receive is unmatched and the amenities are plentiful! With your anticipated arrival date being just days away, I took a peek at availability for this timeframe. Let's discuss some options for your upcoming stay!
First, you'll need to decide if you want everyone to stay in one resort room. If so, your options will be limited since not every resort can accommodate up to seven Guests in one room. Disney Deluxe Villas have a two-bedroom option that will sleep your entire party. Some of these resorts include Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Old Key West Resort, and Disney's BoardWalk Villas, along with a host of others. I didn't see a ton of availability at many of these resorts for your anticipated time frame, but I suggest
calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to speak to a Cast Member for assistance. Along with searching on the Walt Disney World website, they will be able to provide you with up-to-the-minute availability details.
If you did not mind splitting up into two rooms, you will have many more options open to you. Many of the standard hotel rooms sleep up to four Guests, so two rooms should work well for your group. Many of the resorts also have connecting room options, which are available upon request. The connecting rooms give you an interior door inside of each room that can open up to make for one larger room. Keep in mind that while you can request this type of room, not all requests are guaranteed. Walt Disney World does its best to accommodate every request possible. If budgeting is a top priority, I suggest looking into Disney's Pop Century Resort or any of the Disney All-Star Resorts. While each of these resorts is themed to perfection, they also come with a friendlier price tag!
Currently, the vacation packages being offered do not include any meals. They will account for your Disney Resort accommodations and theme park tickets. The Disney Dining Plan has yet to be re-introduced. Many Guests, including myself, are hoping for its return in the near future. But with your anticipated arrival date in less than two weeks, I would not expect it to return in such a short amount of time. I would suggest taking a look at the menus for restaurants you plan to eat at during your stay. This will give you a great idea of how much your family plans to spend on each of these meals. Then, you can budget properly for these costs. You can also purchase Disney Gift Cards for the amount you think you will spend, then use these cards for payment for each meal. Many of the restaurants at Walt Disney World accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment.
Lastly, you'll need to decide how many days you wish to visit the parks. Walt Disney World consists of four theme parks; the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a priority for this trip, then you will want to spend at least one full day at Disney's Hollywood Studios since this is the park where it is located.
Juan, while you can book your entire stay on the
Walt Disney World website, if you run into any issues, I suggest calling and speaking to a Cast Member. They will be able to walk you through the process and book your stay directly over the phone. I hope you have a magical time during your stay!
Happy planning!
