Hi my family of seven are going to disney world in jan 18 we want to see the fantasmic show but we do not want the dinning before how long before the show starts will we need to line up and will be able to get good seats still

    Hi Gayle!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel - I'm happy to help answer your question!

Fantasmic! is one of Walt Disney World Resort's most amazing nighttime shows, and one of my family's "must-dos" on our Disney vacations. The show is held in a large outdoor amphitheater at Disney's Hollywood Studios on select nights, and is very popular with Guests young and old!

Mickey Mouse is the star of the show, and he uses his imagination in the battle between good and evil as Disney Villains try to take over his dreams and turn them into a nightmare. The story is told through music, pyrotechnics, dancing water and more, and I'm always amazed at all the awesome special effects and live action. It's a great show, and I never get tired of the experience!

Cast members will begin seating Guests around 90 minutes prior to the show. Personally, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house (I've been seated in pretty much every section through the years), but if you'd like a better selection of seating, you'll want to arrive around that time. Concessions are sold at several locations once you're inside the amphitheater, so if you get there early you'll have time to grab a snack or two to enjoy while you wait!

I've arrived fairly close to showtime and still enjoyed great seats, but it really depends on the park crowd level on that particular day.

I hope this helps with your planning! Please let us know if you have any further questions before your upcoming vacation. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
