Hello, Erin!
Welcome back to planDisney! I am happy that you reached out to us again! It is a good time to get your dining plans figured out now that your trip is only a month away. How fun!
Space 220 Restaurant is such a fun experience! My kids love riding the special elevator that takes Guests up to space. As a mom of two kids, I understand how tricky it is to find food that makes everyone happy! Generally, kids aged 3 to 9 can order meals on the children's menu, and every Guest usually needs to place their own order. However, it never hurts to ask about options when you arrive! They may allow your son to order off the children's menu at the adult price. You could also ask about customizing the adult menu for your son's preferences. One of my kids is often most happy with a bowl of butter noodles. I usually pay the listed menu price even when their food is modified from the menu.
Another option is to look for
Space 220 Lounge dining reservations. It is located in the same room as the restaurant and has an ala carte menu. The Gemini Burger could probably be modified for your son if that is something he might like. The Astro Deviled Eggs are my favorite choice!
Did you know you can
mobile order food on the My Disney Experience app? Ordering food ahead of time is a lifesaver when you have hungry kids! I like to place my lunch order in the morning to help ensure my preferred time is available.
Connections Eatery is one of our favorite spots in EPCOT that accepts mobile orders. I usually get the Hand-breaded Chicken Sandwich or the Niçoise-style Salad. Both are so good!
Erin, I hope you enjoy your intergalactic meal at Space 220 Restaurant! Please contact us again if you have other questions!
Wishing you a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
Jen
