Ahoy Courtney!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by while you plan for a vacation to paradise! Your little sea guppie is going to love all the fun things to do onboard! Disney Cruise Line makes
Traveling with Little Ones a smooth-sailing experience!
This is a very important question! You definitely want to make sure you and your pirate crew have the correct
Travel Documentation prior to your cruise setting sail. Currently, for cruises to the Caribbean leaving from a U.S. port of call and returning to the same U.S. port of call, Disney Cruise Line does not require that Guests have a passport. Children under the age of 16 only need to bring a copy of their state-issued birth certificate as proof of citizenship. Guests 16 years of age and older will need a copy of their state-issued birth certificate as well as a Government-issued photo ID (like a driver's license).
Even though Disney Cruise Line does not require passports for all itineraries, I do want to recommend that everyone in your family travel with one. In the off chance there is an unforeseen emergency at home while you're visiting a foreign port of call, you will be able to easily fly home with valid passports. We always travel with ours during our cruises and it gives me peace of mind that if an emergency comes up, we'll be able to get home swiftly.
