My family has Savi Workshop reservations. I know that the light sabers are quite long and come in a carrying case. Will we be able to take them with us on rides the rest of the evening? Wondering what we do with them when we want to go on a ride? Thanks

    Welcome back to planDisney, Laura!

Oh, you have a most exciting experience waiting for you at Walt Disney World!

When my family visited Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, my son had a reservation at Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers at the Walt Disney World Resort, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment your experience begins, you'll feel that this is something truly special. The Gatherers know just how to guide Guests to selecting the lightsaber that suites them, and details told inside the Black Spire Outpost workshop are filled with the Force. You'll feel it.

My son built his very early in the day, but the convenient shoulder strap on the included carrying case made it easy to bring along on the rest of our adventures. We brought his lightsaber into Oga's Cantina at the Walt Disney World Resort, onto Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, into Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, and even onto Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. You never know when you may need some extra defense against The First Order!

The protective foam inside the carrying case will cradle your lightsaber while out on your adventures, too, and we did not encounter any experience where having that case with us was a challenge. It's fun, also, to see how many Guests craft their own lightsabers, proudly carrying them throughout the park that day.

Don't forget that you can purchase additional pieces to further customize your lightsaber at Doc-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. (My son opted for for a few additional kyber crystals while we marveled at this unique collection.)

As you plan a visit that's out of this world, be sure to send additional questions our way, Laura. We love to help!
