Ahoy Sarah!
Ah, the
Disney Wish—a truly stunning vessel that takes the magic of Disney to the high seas! This ship is one of my all-time favorites, with its breathtaking theming and dining options that are simply out of this world. The only thing I wish (pun intended) was different about my time on the Wish was that the itinerary was longer. Every moment aboard feels like a dream, and getting lost in the ship’s many wonders is so easy!
As for your journey from the ship to the Walt Disney World Resort, here’s what you can expect. On disembarkation day, Disney
Ground Transportation departs from the Port Canaveral terminal around 9:00 a.m. Your ride will be ready and waiting to whisk you away to the next magical chapter of your adventure. You can check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the latest updates any time after embarkation. Be sure to listen for any announcements regarding transfers.
Once you’re off the ship and you’ve collected your luggage, you’ll go through customs and sadly have to say goodbye to the terminal. You’ll find a friendly Disney Cruise Line Representative who will guide you to your specific transportation. The travel time between Port Canaveral and the Walt Disney World Resort is typically around 60 to 75 minutes but do keep in mind that this is an approximate time. Factors like traffic and shared transportation with other Guests staying at different
Disney Resort Collection hotels can affect the journey, potentially adding a few extra minutes and stops along the way. I always anticipate that it will take at least 90 minutes to get to my Disney Resort hotel.
Wishing you and your family the most incredible time on your land and sea adventure! Every moment is sure to be filled with Disney magic.
