My family is sailing on the 10 night Disney Dream European cruise in July 2023. Do you know the theme nights for this cruise? Also, is it possible to get paper copies of the Navigators on the ship instead of using the app? Thanks for your help!

    Ahoy, Kelly!

Welcome back to planDisney! Oh my goodness, your 10-night sailing aboard the gorgeous Disney Dream sounds like a truly magical vacation! I understand wanting to know the different evenings to pack for and look forward to, so I’m happy to share what I learned about this cruise for you.

I didn’t see other voyages of this length in July, so this information is for the 10-Night Northern Europe Cruise with Silver Anniversary at Sea departing July 22, 2023:

    • Saturday, Southampton – Cruise Casual
    • Sunday, Cherbourg – Formal
    • Monday, At Sea – Cruise Casual
    • Tuesday, At Sea – Cruise Casual
    • Wednesday, Reykjavik – Cruise Casual
    • Thursday, Isafjordur – Cruise Casual
    • Friday, Akureyi – Cruise Casual
    • Saturday, At Sea – Semi-Formal
    • Sunday, Alesund – Cruise Casual
    • Monday, At Sea – Cruise Casual
Please see the dress code guidance for both Formal and Semi-Formal Nights, which is encouraged but not enforced onboard. You’ll see a wide variety of dress based on family styles, cultures, and levels of comfort. My family likes to embrace the glamorous vibe of vintage cruising and take advantage of an opportunity to dress up, but I am mindful to pack items which won’t wrinkle too much or take up precious suitcase space.

With Disney Cruise Line’s innovative rotational dining, you may be in one main dining room for dinner four times throughout this voyage! Please see this question I recently answered for a Guest if you’d like inspiration or guidance to put in a special request to align your dining room preferences with special themed evenings.

The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App continues to add features to support your onboard experience and provide extensive details on activities, menus, and even communication capabilities with your friends and family. I can understand wanting to truly unplug or have the convenience of seeing everything laid out clearly on one page as when they were delivered in a hard copy format. I recently learned that while the paper Personal Navigators are no longer on display, you may ask for one at Guest Services (Deck 3, Midship, Atrium Lobby) and they should be able to provide one. Cutting back on the paper distribution and waste among so many Guests is aligned to Disney Cruise Line’s sustainability values, but they continue to offer this version for those who prefer or need it.

This itinerary truly sounds like a bucket list vacation with so many nights onboard and incredible destinations! Add in that this is the Dream’s Inaugural Season in Europe AND a Silver Anniversary at Sea sailing, celebrating 25 years of Disney Cruise Line, and it is sure to be one for the memory books!

Please let us know if we can help clarify anything further or help you make the most of this vacation in any way, we love to help!

    Bon voyage,
    Amy
