Hello! Me and family are sailing on a Halloween on the High Seas cruise on the Disney Dream, four night cruise this October. What should we expect each night? is there a formal night? is there a pirate night and a Halloween night?

Ahoy there, Victoria, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you and your crew are getting ready to embark on a frightfully fun adventure aboard the Disney Dream this October. Halloween on the High Seas cruises are packed with ghoulish delights, swashbuckling surprises, and Disney magic around every corner, so you’re in for an unforgettable voyage!

Let’s break down the themed fun night by night. Night 2, after your day in Nassau, will be your Halloween celebration! You can expect Mickey’s Mousequerade party, complete with trick-or-treating, themed décor, and characters in adorable costumes. This is the night to dress up with the whole family in your Halloween best. Costumes are welcome (as long as you follow Disney guidelines), but if costumes aren’t your thing, have no fear. This is your cruise, so ultimately the choice of what to wear (and when) is up to you.

But I think I know the theme night you’re really wanting to know about: Pirate Night! You’ll party like a pirate on night 3, after your stop at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Get ready for a hearty “Arrrrr!” as you don your pirate garb and enjoy swashbuckling activities throughout the ship. The highlight of the night for me and my crew is the Deck Party, which should include fireworks at sea (weather-permitting! And don’t forget to look for the bandanas provided in your stateroom before dinner to help you get into the spirit.

The remaining two nights will be cruise casual, offering the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the rotational dining, Broadway-style shows, and unique entertainment that make Disney Cruise Line so special. While there isn’t a formal night on your 4-night itinerary, you’re always welcome to dress up a bit more for dinner if you like, especially when it’s your turn to eat at Royal Palace.

Keep an eye on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while onboard for the latest ship updates and activity schedules. And if you think of anything else before you set sail, I hope you’ll float back to us here at planDisney!

    Bon voyage,
    Sami
