Hi Jennifer!
Thanks for sailing to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I'm so excited for your inaugural cruise aboard the Disney Dream this upcoming October! You're in a for a super spooktacular treat because your cruise is a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing! My family and I booked a Disney Cruise for this upcoming October, too! We can't wait to celebrate Halloween with Captain Mickey and his friends.
I think you booked your first Disney Cruise at a great time of year! Families often schedule cruises during holiday or summer breaks when the kids are off of school, so any time during the school year when the kids are still in school is a great time to sail! Even if your cruise is sold out, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how it doesn't feel crowded onboard most of the time because the Guests are dispersed throughout the ship! In my opinion, embarkation day feels the most crowded but after that, people are busy doing everything they're interested in on and around the ship, not making one area particularly overcrowded!
Our favorite time to go to the pool is when the ship is docked at port. Once you're done exploring Nassau, I recommend heading back to the ship, grabbing your swimsuits and taking a ride on the
AquaDuck! Many Guests will have disembarked the ship and still be exploring the island so this will be an excellent time to splash in the pool!
Jennifer, I hope you and your family have the DREAMiest first cruise sailing the high seas this October! If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
