    Hi, My family will be sailing the Disney Dream in February of 2016. We'd like to run the Castaway Cay 5k. Will finishers medals be offered in 2016 for this run? Thank you!

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and for using us as a planning resource for your Disney Cruise Line vacation!

    I'm so happy to hear your family will be enjoying a cruise on the Disney Dream in February. You're in for a most magical sailing, with VIP treatment from beginning to end. The Dream is a gorgeous ship, and you'll find that there's lots of fun activities and entertainment for all ages!

    The Castaway Cay 5K is such a fun event, and a great way to tour Disney's gorgeous private island. (It's also a wonderful way to work off some of the calories from all the awesome food you'll be eating!) The night before the run, you'll receive information about meetup times and locations in your Personal Navigator (a daily schedule delivered to your stateroom). On race morning, race participants meet in a designated location to sign in and get race bibs. All you'll be required to have with you is your Key to the World Card. Many participants bring a bag with a change of clothes and their beach gear, so they don't have to go back to the ship after the race, and they can make the most of their island time!

    After the run, check in to receive your medal, grab your gear, and head to the restroom/changing area to freshen up and get ready for your day in paradise. runDisney recently designed a brand new medal for the Castaway Cay 5K - a colorful rubber medal with a cute neck ribbon. What an awesome way to start your day on the island! Make sure to stop by the island gift shop to purchase a Castaway Cay 5K t-shirt to commemorate your race!

    You'll certainly have worked up an appetite after the run. No worries, Disney Cruise Line provides a delicious BBQ lunch on the island, at Cookie's and Cookies Too. Make sure to save room for some all-you-care-to-enjoy soft-serve ice cream!
