Hello, our family will be sailing on the Disney Dream from Barcelona to Barcelona leaving May 23, 2026. My question is, are there "Themed Nights" and "Formal Nights" scheduled?, If so, when? Thank you!

Ahoy, Teresa, and welcome to planDisney. The countdown to embarkation day is on! Can you already picture the sparkling ocean horizon and taste the churro-flavored waffles? There will be so much excitement waiting for you on board, including themed nights. Let's dive into the details!

The schedule is subject to change, but at the time of writing this, it looks like your sailing will have a formal night on Day 2 (At Sea), Pirate Night on Day 4 (Naples), and a semi-formal night on Day 6 (Livorno).

I love Pirate Night. You can expect a special dinner menu, exciting entertainment, themed activities, and more. Many Guests even dress up like pirates! There won't be fireworks on your sailing, but it will still be a really special night on the ship.

As for the formal and semi-formal nights, pack some fancy attire if you'd like to join the fun. Think along the lines of a suit, dress, dress pants with a jacket, a pantsuit, and similar options. These are great nights to take advantage of the onboard photography services since you'll be all dressed up! And if you prefer to stay in cruise casual clothes, that is totally fine, too.

You'll be able to confirm the timing of these themed nights once you board the ship and connect to Wi-Fi. At that point, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will update with the details for your sailing, including entertainment, dining rotations, activities, and more.

Now, let's talk about Barcelona, where you'll start and end your cruise. If your travel plans allow, spend some time exploring the art, architecture, and coastal charm of this beloved city. Walk along the main boulevard, do some shopping, stop at a museum, and marvel at the historic buildings. Of course, you'll have a chance to explore some amazing ports of call in Italy during your cruise as well!

Aboard the Disney Dream, you can look forward to unique dining locations, themed lounges, Broadway-style shows, adult escapes, and exciting activities. If you want a little downtime between all the fun, kick back and order room service! Did you know that you can order custom-made sandwiches, pizza, desserts, and snacks? Certain items may have an added fee, but for the most part, you can enjoy a wide selection of options that are included in the price of your cruise!

Teresa, I hope you have the best time sailing through the Mediterranean. If you think of any other questions between now and embarkation day, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
