My family is running the family 5k in DL. My 2 older kids can do the 5K. My 3yo can't but i hate to leave him in hotel with a sitter. he is registered so could we run/walk-carry him so he could stay with the family? Is there a max min/mile? Other ideas?

    Hi Anne!

The 5K is a great family race, but it does not allow anyone to be carried or pushed in a stroller.  They have this rule for the safety of all runners.

The three miles would probably be too far for a three-year old and there is a 16 minute/mile pace requirement.  There is a sitting service called Kids Nite Out (www.kidsniteout.com) that you can use for him.  I have used them for my boys and they are great!  They are in conjunction with the Hilton Anaheim at Disneyland.

If you think he will feel left out, you can always register him in the Kids Races!  (If you are going to Tinkerbell Half weekend, the races are sold out.  But you could call runDisney and inquire about changing his 5K registration to a kids race.  The number is 407-939-iRun)  This way, he can participate in a race that is more appropriate to his age while earning his very own medal.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
